Introduced as a 2G feature phone that supports GSM networks only, HMD promised to work with carriers in the United States in order to find a solution to the issue. Unfortunately for Nokia fans, EDGE coverage on GSM networks is a bit of a problem in the U.S.
Of course, HMD could decide to add 3G support to the Nokia 3310 and make it available via other carriers as well, but that would mean a higher price for the feature phone. Source: www.phonearena.com

The U.S. version of Nokia 3310 works on T-Mobile's network only Nokia 3310, the feature phone that will probably beat all the other Nokia-branded smartphones announced by HMD Global earlier this year when it comes to the number of units sold, will be launched in the United States by the end of the month.
Introduced as a 2G feature phone that supports GSM networks only, HMD promised to work with carriers in the United States in order to find a solution to the issue. Unfortunately for Nokia fans, EDGE coverage on GSM networks is a bit of a problem in the U.S.
As such, the Nokia 3310 might only work on T-Mobile. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has recently approved a Nokia-branded mobile phone that goes by the model number TA-1037.
The TA-1037 is undoubtedly the U.S. version of the Nokia 3310 and, according to the FCC, it will only support GSM bands 850MHz and 1900MHz. The latter is used by T-Mobile, so the Nokia 3310 could be exclusively available through the Uncarrier.
Of course, HMD could decide to add 3G support to the Nokia 3310 and make it available via other carriers as well, but that would mean a higher price for the feature phone.
